Accounts Assistant

My client has a great opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly finance team. You will play a key role in processing accounts for a group of companies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial tasks.Your new role

• Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payments.
• Sales Ledger: Raise and allocate customer invoices, monitor receipts, and chase outstanding balances.
• Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Support with journal entries and month-end processes.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Sage experience is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
