Defendant Personal Injury Claims Handler

Salary: 25,000 - 28,000 DOE
Location: Bradford City Centre
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Defendant Personal Injury Claims Handler to join a highly regarded and expanding Defendant Personal Injury team based in modern offices in Bradford city centre.

This role is ideally suited to a confident pre-litigation claims professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, fast-paced, and performance-driven legal environment.



The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of pre-litigation Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, acting on behalf of insurer and corporate clients. The role requires a methodical, process-driven approach, strong attention to detail, and excellent client-handling skills.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of pre-litigation EL/PL claims from inception to settlement

  • Investigating liability, causation, and quantum

  • Reviewing medical evidence and expert reports

  • Drafting correspondence and settlement negotiations

  • Providing accurate technical advice to clients and stakeholders

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal KPIs

  • Delivering excellent client care and maintaining high service standards



About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 months' experience handling pre-litigation personal injury claims

  • Strong understanding of EL/PL claims processes

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • High level of IT literacy and case management experience

  • Organised, methodical, and process-driven approach

  • Positive attitude with enthusiasm and willingness to learn



Desirable:

  • Previous experience handling retail-related claims

  • Exposure to insurer or defendant legal environments
