An established nationwide Architectural Practice, with a growing Nottingham office, is looking to appoint a CDM Principal Designer from an architectural background to strengthen its design risk management capability across a national portfolio.
This opportunity would suit a qualified Architect who has been undertaking CDM Principal Designer responsibilities and now wants to progress into a fully focused CDM Principal Designer position. The practice delivers projects across commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use sectors, with scheme values exceeding 150m.
They are seeking an Architect who is confident integrating health and safety into the design process, ensuring risks are considered, challenged and reduced from the earliest project stages.
The appointed CDM Principal Designer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating design risk across multiple live schemes.
You will work closely with internal design teams and external consultants to identify potential hazards, influence design decisions and ensure risks are appropriately mitigated.
The CDM Principal Designer will lead risk review meetings, provide clear compliance guidance and support a smooth transition through to Principal Contractor appointment.
Qualified Architect with practical CDM Principal Designer experience
Strong knowledge of design risk management principles
Confident advising and influencing multidisciplinary teams
Solid understanding of current CDM regulations
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or willingness to obtain
