Job Description

EYFS / KS1 Intervention Teacher

Ealing Broadway
Full-Time April 2026 Start 3-Form Entry Primary

A high-performing 3-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway is seeking a skilled and focused EYFS / KS1 Intervention Teacher to join their team from April 2026.

This is a full-time role, although part-time may be considered for the right candidate. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver targeted interventions that raise attainment, close gaps, and stretch pupils working at greater depth, while also supporting children with SEN.

About the School

This is a well-established 3-form entry school with strong leadership, clear expectations, and consistently good behaviour across the school. Standards are high, systems are embedded, and staff work collaboratively within year group teams.

You will benefit from:

  • A structured and organised leadership team
  • Consistent behaviour policies that are followed school-wide
  • Parallel classes for shared planning and collaboration
  • A strong phonics culture across EYFS and KS1
  • A central Ealing Broadway location with excellent transport links
  • A staff team committed to raising outcomes for all pupils

The school values intervention teaching as a key driver of progress and invests time and resources into ensuring it is impactful.

The Role

This position will focus primarily on targeted intervention work across EYFS and KS1.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality phonics interventions
  • Supporting pupils who are working below age-related expectations
  • Stretching and challenging greater depth pupils
  • Delivering small group and occasional one-to-one support
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN
  • Working closely with phase leaders and SENCO to track progress
  • Using assessment data to plan targeted sessions

Planning frameworks and data will be provided, but you must be confident adapting sessions to meet the needs of different groups.

What the School Is Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold UK QTS
  • Have strong EYFS and KS1 experience
  • Be confident delivering systematic phonics
  • Understand how to close attainment gaps effectively
  • Be able to support both lower-attaining pupils and greater depth learners
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management
  • Be analytical and confident using assessment data

This role would suit an experienced KS1 teacher, a phonics lead, or a strong practitioner who enjoys working with focused intervention groups.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Clear expectations and good behaviour across the school
  • Collaborative 3-form entry structure
  • Central Ealing Broadway location
  • Strong leadership support
  • A role with measurable impact on pupil progress
  • Opportunity for full-time stability, with flexibility for part-time consideration
