Salaried GP (ARRS)

The role would be suitable for applicants who have receivedtheir CCT in the previous 2 years and who have not previously held asubstantive role within General Practice.

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract.

The post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for goodmedical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice,leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationshipwith the multidisciplinary

Working 6 sessions per week, from Tuesday to Friday

• the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, pathology, test results & paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
• undertake duty doctor role as required by the practice.
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
• Providing counselling and health education
• Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
• Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Collecting data for audit purposes
• Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
• Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.

We have 1 GPpartner, a long-term locum GP, Practice Nurse, HCA, a team of pharmacists aswell as support from a social prescriber, care-coordinator and a fantasticadmin team. • Provide high-quality medical care to the practice population in line with primary care contracts.
• Manage long-term conditions, acute presentations, and preventative healthcare services.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with national and local guidelines.
• Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
• Process referrals, prescription requests, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Adhere to best practices, clinical guidelines, and audit recommendations.

Practice & Team Contributions:

• Work collaboratively with the wider practice team, sharing workload fairly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
• Take responsibility for specific areas of practice performance, including QOF.
• Contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance, and training.
• Assist in achieving the strategic goals of the practice, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with appraisals, revalidation, and professional development requirements.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Participate in practice audits and local service initiatives.
• Contribute to the review and analysis of significant and near-miss events.
