MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Home Ownership Officer in North London. This will be on a temporary contract.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external service providers
- Provide regular communication to residents and resolve their queries at a high standard, including covenant breaches and anti-social behaviour
- Ensuring properties are maintained by liaising with contractors and managing agents managing repairs and be responsible for making sure repairs are delivered effectively and efficiently
- Ensure communal areas and neighbourhoods are clean and well maintained.
- Manage the work of the contractors and seek feedback upon completion
- Manage repairs reported to managing agents and ensure feedback upon completion.
- Deal with service charges enquires
- Process staircasing, resale and lease extension and Right to Acquire applications
- Manage and resolve leasehold enquires to include assignments, Alterations and Sub-letting permissions and any other enquiry that may be raised
- To assist with the calculation of estimated and actual service charges to all leaseholders
- To ensure that S20 consultation letters are sent in accordance with statute for major repairs and changes in service providers
- To take ownership and responsibility for any service-related complaints/queries from customers ensuring that the customer experience is positive, professional and within set timescales at all times.
- To accurately record all resident contacts and actions on the housing management system
- Ensure contractors and third-party managing agents deliver local service to the standard agreed and sign off invoices in line with the local service charge budgets and the financial regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Knowledge of the affordable housing sector and an expert understanding of Leasehold management
- Knowledge of housing management systems.
- You have a natural customer focus and it is a consideration in all that you do
- You are self-assured and tenacious as a lot of what you'll be doing will be following up with colleagues and/or third parties such as management companies or developers
