Commercial & Contracts Manager (Part-Time: 2-3 days per week) Salary: £70,000 FTE (pro rata) Location: Basingstoke

We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial & Contracts Manager to join a long-established, financially stable technology and services organisation operating across both the public and private sectors.

This is a senior, part-time role offering a broad and varied remit across commercial contracts, governance oversight, and commercial risk management. The role would suit a commercially minded professional from a contracts, legal, governance or risk background who enjoys applying judgement and pragmatism to real-world business scenarios.

The organisation works closely with an external legal provider, meaning complex legal matters are supported externally. This role focuses on commercial interpretation, decision-making and governance oversight, rather than pure legal delivery.

Experience Requirements:

• Background in commercial contracts, legal, governance, risk or commercial management roles
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, terms & conditions and contractual risk
• Confident interpreting legislation and contractual requirements and applying them pragmatically
• Comfortable supporting senior stakeholders, including directors and board-level colleagues
• Experience overseeing governance or corporate obligations within an organisation
• Exposure to company secretarial activities (statutory records, Companies House filings, governance documentation) is beneficial but not essential
• Experience within technology, professional services, regulated, public sector or similar environments advantageous

The Role:

• Reviewing, interpreting and advising on commercial contracts, terms & conditions and related documentation
• Supporting contract negotiation, commercial risk management and decision-making with internal stakeholders
• Providing governance oversight and support for corporate and statutory obligations
• Maintaining and updating statutory records, corporate documentation and the electronic data room
• Liaising with external legal advisers on more complex contractual or regulatory matters
• Overseeing company insurance renewals and related annual reviews
• Acting as a trusted commercial and governance advisor to the senior leadership team
• Contributing to wider commercial and governance initiatives as required
