Role Overview
Teaching a Year 1 class with access to shared planning and well-established resources
Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
Creating a positive, nurturing, and well-structured classroom environment
Supporting pupils with the transition from EYFS into KS1
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Working closely with year-group colleagues, teaching assistants, and support staff
Maintaining consistent behaviour expectations across KS1
Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team ethos
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong understanding of early reading, phonics, and core KS1 subjects
Well-organised and engaging lesson delivery
Positive, calm, and professional approach to classroom management
Suitable for teachers seeking consistency, routine, and a supportive working environment
