FMCG Auditor Food, Hardline & Textile Products

Are you an experienced Auditor in the FMCG industry looking for a new challenge? Our client is a unique FMCG business delivering private-label and branded products across food, hardline, and textile categories to major UK retailers. This role offers exposure to a wide range of products and the chance to make a real impact on supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard and support new manufacturing suppliers, including gap analysis, risk assessments, and non-conformity reporting

  • Conduct maintenance and compliance audits across UK and EU manufacturing sites

  • Ensure suppliers meet UK manufacturing regulations, retailer codes of practice, and ethical standards

  • Manage nonconformance corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution

  • Coordinate internal and external audit schedules, site spot checks, and due diligence

  • Communicate with customers to resolve audit issues and accompany them on site visits

  • Support buying teams during new site sourcing and onboarding

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Auditor, Lead Auditor, Compliance Manager, Internal Auditor, or Retail Auditor in the FMCG sector

  • Knowledge of UK food manufacturing regulations and UK retailer codes of practice

  • Experience working with top UK retailers

  • Lead Auditor training (preferred but not essential)

  • Food Safety Level 3 qualification

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively (at least one week per month, sometimes at short notice)
