Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: 90- 130 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-managed specialist SEND school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and complex behavioural needs from January 2026.

This full-time, long-term position is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can provide structure, consistency, and positive behaviour support within a nurturing and supportive school environment.



The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH needs

  • Support pupils in managing behaviour, emotions, and social interactions

  • Implement behaviour strategies, risk assessments, and personalised support plans

  • Use Team Teach techniques to safely de-escalate challenging behaviour

  • Promote positive engagement with learning and daily routines

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

  • Act as a positive role model, offering clear boundaries, consistency, and encouragement



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

  • Team Teach training and practical experience (essential)

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
