This is a permanent, full-time opportunity suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers looking to develop their careers within a strong Science faculty.
The Role - Science Teacher (Physics)
You will join an established and collaborative Science department, delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a clear Physics focus at GCSE level.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging Science lessons with a strong emphasis on Physics
Developing pupils' analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific enquiry
Supporting practical investigations and hands-on experimentation
Using assessment data effectively to raise attainment and close progress gaps
Contributing to enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and external partnerships
This role offers the opportunity to influence curriculum development and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a degree in Physics or a related Science discipline
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
Maintains high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement
Is reflective, collaborative, and committed to professional growth
ECTs with strong potential and experienced teachers seeking progression are both encouraged to apply
