Job Title: Clinical Consultant (Medical Imaging)
Max Rate: 400- 500p/d via Umbrella
Clearance required: BPSS
Duration: 5 Months
Location: 80% Office/Client location in London and travel to Wales.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Clinical Consultant with strong experience in medical imaging systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare IT environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on clinical experience-preferably as a radiographer-as well as deep familiarity with RIS, PACS, and related standards. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to optimize system usage, improve workflow efficiency, and provide expert training and support.
As Clinical Consultant you will be part of our highly competent Northern Europe Implementation team. This role is part of the Implementation Services team but you will also work closely with Sales, Product Management and Support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for RIS, PACS, and other clinical applications.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to end users, including radiographers, physicians, and administrative staff.
- Assist in workflow optimization, performance improvement initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT teams, system vendors, and clinical departments to ensure seamless system operation.
- Troubleshoot application issues, support system upgrades, and contribute to configuration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with medical data standards such as DICOM and HL7.
- Participate in implementation projects, testing, and validation of new features or clinical applications.
- Common security technologies (AD, LDAP, End point protection) and practices Storage Platforms technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS, tape libraries) High availability technologies (i.e. based on Hypervisor, OS, Veritas, Oracle) .NET, C++, java programming language knowledge
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a clinical degree and/or Radiographer License preferred.
- 5+ years of strong experience using RIS and PACS in a clinical environment, ideally as a super user, administrator, or system representative.
- Practical experience with additional clinical applications and imaging workflows.
- Preferably few years of hospital or clinical experience with deep understanding of real-world radiology workflows.
- High energy, self-driven work style with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to train clinical staff.
- Strong consulting, analytical, and problem?solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in workflow improvement and performance optimization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of medical communication standards such as DICOM and HL7.
- Familiarity with IT environments including Windows OS, client application installation, and software configuration.
- Some knowledge of SQL, EDI, LPR, or Screening systems is a plus.
