A respected social housing group is seeking a Property Officer for a temporary interim contract based across North Northamptonshire, initially for a minimum of 3 months.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation supporting vital housing services. The Property Officer role offers straightforward, hands-on work inspecting void properties to ensure homes are safe, secure, and ready for re-let, while working within a supportive housing team.As a Property Officer, you will be:
- Inspecting void properties to check for abuse, vandalism, fly-tipping, or unauthorised occupation.
- Reporting any issues, damage, or health and safety concerns in a clear and timely manner.
- Completing basic inspection reports and updating internal systems.
- Liaising with housing and repairs teams to flag follow-on actions.
- Covering properties across the North Northamptonshire region during scheduled shifts.
Wed love to speak to anyone who has:
- Previous experience working as a Property Officer or in a similar housing, estates, or inspection-based role.
- A good eye for detail and the ability to spot issues within vacant properties.
- Confidence working independently and managing a daily inspection route.
- Basic IT skills for reporting and record keeping.
- A full UK driving licence.
This role offers:
- Interim contract for a minimum of 3 months.
- Working hours of 12:00pm 5:00pm, 5 days per week.
- Fuel card provided for work-related travel.
- A straightforward role within a well-established housing provider.
Location & Travel:
- Covering void properties across North Northamptonshire.
- Regular travel required between sites.
