Your Responsibilities as Pipe Welder:
Performing TIG welding on stainless and carbon steel pipework to x-ray standard
Fabricating pipework and fittings from technical drawings
Carrying out purging and ensuring welds meet pressure and integrity standards
Tack welding and assembling pipe sections
Conducting weld inspections and reworking defects
Maintaining accurate weld records and adhering to strict H&S protocols
Collaborating with supervisors, pipefitters and quality inspectors
What we're looking for in the Pipe Welder(s):
To be successful, you'll need:
Proven experience in TIG pipe welding (and MMA is a bonus)
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
Strong understanding of welding codes (e.g. BSEN, ASME, AWS)
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Previous welding certifications and pipewelding evidence required
(Apprenticeship/ NVQs/ City & Guilds/ College Level 2 and 3 equivalents)
Time served Pipewelders are considered if you have sound work history in Pipe welding and can pass the following weld test and qualifications within 3weeks
oTIG Butt weld (stainless & carbon steel)
oPipe-to-plate fillet weld
oMMA Butt & Fillet welds (bonus, but not essential)
Working Hours as Pipe Welder:
Standard: Monday-Wednesday 7am-5pm and Thursday 7am-4:30pm
Breaks: Paid morning and afternoon break + 30minute unpaid lunch
Overtime: Fridays & Saturdays available at T+1/2
Location: Dewsbury
Salary: WAGE RISE 1/3/26 GUARANTEED
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (after successful completion of 'probationary type period')
