Damp and Mould Technician

Job Title: DMC Technician
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Hereford
Salary: £31,726 per annum
Hours: 37 per week

BRC are working closely with a housing provider to recruit a skilled trades DMC Technician to join their damp, mould & condensation team.

This role involves responding to reports of damp, mould and condensation in customers' homes, assessing issues, identifying the root cause, and carrying out appropriate remedial works. You'll also provide advice and guidance to residents on prevention and contribute to healthy living conditions and high-quality homes.

Duties:

• Visit properties to assess damp, mould and condensation issues and determine root causes
• Carry out remedial works to remove hazards and prevent recurrence
• Improve ventilation and undertake minor repairs such as mould removal and repainting
• Provide residents with information and advice on prevention and maintenance
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure works are compliant
• Deliver a "first time fix" approach where possible
• Maintain accurate records of work undertaken

Requirements:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant trade qualification
• Valid UK driving licence
• Willingness to complete a Level 3 Award in Damp Mould and Condensation in Buildings within the first six months of employment
• Comfortable diagnosing issues and communicating with residents
• Basic DBS check will be required
