Product Delivery Manager (MBSE)

Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Product Delivery Manager to join their team in Reading on a 5-month contract basis. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in Systems Design and Delivery Management, specifically within a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.

• Replace document-based engineering with authoritative system models and drive their adoption across the business.
• Define and deliver a comprehensive MBSE environment (Cameo + DOORS NG + simulation + PLM) with rigorous best practices, governance, baselines, and digital continuity.
• Translate engineering needs into a roadmap, manage backlogs, coordinate with vendors/suppliers, and ensure integrations that provide real end-to-end traceability.
• Operate comfortably within safety-critical and defence environments, ensuring compliance, evidence generation, and configuration control.
• Drive cultural change, training, onboarding, and adoption of MBSE methodologies.
• Oversee performance, resilience, security, and lifecycle management of engineering systems.

• Deep expertise in MBSE and associated toolchains (Cameo, DOORS NG, SysML) with a proven track record in delivering integrated digital engineering environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build roadmaps, manage vendors, and achieve end-to-end traceability across programmes.
• Ability to drive change and shift teams from document-based to model-based methodologies through effective governance, onboarding, and communication.
• Experience in safety-critical/defence environments, with an understanding of compliance, evidence generation, and configuration control.
• Technical fluency to ensure the performance, resilience, security, and lifecycle management of MBSE systems.
