Job Description
Our client, a renowned company in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Glascoed. This role involves critical tasks associated with manufacturing processes within the defence industry. As a Process Engineer, you will contribute to the development and optimisation of manufacturing systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and optimising manufacturing processes in alignment with industry standards and regulations
- Analysing process data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure process integration and alignment with project goals
- Conducting risk assessments and troubleshooting issues to minimise production downtime
- Providing technical support and expertise to the manufacturing team
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Documenting procedures, process changes, and performance results
- Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality
Job Requirements:
- Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of process optimisation and improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in analysing process data and metrics
- Ability to work on-site for three days a week and remotely one day a week
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain it
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Contract Details:
- 12-month contract with the possibility of extension
- Three days on-site work, one day from home (Fridays off)
- Immediate start date
- Team size: 7-10 members
- Interviews to take place as soon as possible
