Overview of the RoleLead transformational giving at a defining moment in our history.
London Transport Museum is the world's leading museum of urban transport. As an education and preservation charity, LTM uses the powerful link between transport and the growth of London, culture and society since 1800 to tell the story of London's journey over the past 200 years. The Museum's purpose is to ignite curiosity to shape the future.
As we embark on an ambitious capital campaign to completely reimagine London Transport Museum, we are seeking a strategic, relationship driven Senior Philanthropy Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of philanthropy at the Museum.
You will lead our major giving and legacy programmes, building and deepening relationships with high value supporters who will help us deliver a once in a generation transformation of our Museum. Working closely with our Chief Executive, Head of Development, boards and senior leaders, you will help define campaign priorities, influence organisational decisions and secure the five and six figure gifts that power our ambitions.
You will personally manage a portfolio of high value prospects, crafting compelling cases for support and delivering exceptional stewardship that strengthens long term donor commitment. Alongside this, you'll guide a talented team, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration and high performance as you shape a strong, insight led donor pipeline.
An experienced, confident relationship builder with a proven track record in major gifts. You'll bring strategic insight, sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Above all, you'll be motivated by the Museum's mission and excited by the chance to secure the transformational support that will unlock our next chapter.
If you're ready to lead giving at scale, influence the direction of a world class cultural organisation and help shape the future of one of London's most iconic museums, we'd love to hear from you.
