The role

Just Style is seeking a fixed-term Reporter for a 12-month maternity cover to produce high-quality news and feature content for our subscription platform, digital magazine, and social channels. The role requires a strong interest in fashion, sustainability, technology, and the way global businesses operate.

At Just Style, we explore every stage of the apparel supply chain from raw materials and manufacturing to innovative recycling and AI-driven retail. As part of GlobalData s network of industry journalists, our editorial team delivers research-driven news and insights that inform professionals across the fashion industry.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in B2B journalism, generate strong story ideas, and work collaboratively with editorial, SEO, analyst, and data teams to meet deadlines and engage our audience.

What you ll be doing

  • To seek out and produce daily news articles and features relevant for our audience.
  • To get exclusive interviews, comments, and quotes that will promote Just Style as a leading source of exclusive content for the global apparel industry.
  • To establish a network of news contacts and feature sources for the site.
  • To post engaging content regularly across our social media channels.
  • To build relationships within the apparel industry and act as an ambassador for the site at events and shows in the UK and overseas when necessary.
  • Develop story ideas that are engaging, relevant and in line with our audience strategy.
  • To help maintain the highest standard of editing possible.
  • To proof and sub work on the site.
  • Work with colleagues in our research and analysis teams to develop exclusive data-led news and feature articles.

What we re looking for

  • An experience writing news and features for a professional publication.
  • Ideally, a professional journalism qualification that includes media law.
  • Proven ability to identify, research and develop news and features.
  • Command of the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Apparel industry knowledge is a bonus.
  • Understanding and ability to interpret basic financial data.
  • CMS and SEO knowledge desired but not essential.
  • Strong eye for detail, proofing and subbing.
  • Ability to work with data and industry reports.
