Electrical Design Engineers (LV)

Our client, a specialist in the rail sector, is currently seeking experienced Electrical Design Engineers with a focus on low voltage (LV) systems to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for those with a background in London Underground (LU) or rail projects and will involve working on crucial LU upgrade projects.

• Designing electrical systems for LV lighting and screens within rail environments
• Collaborating with a strong team of engineers to deliver high-quality design solutions
• Preparing detailed electrical design specifications and drawings
• Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on engineering solutions
• Maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders

• Experience in electrical design within the rail sector, ideally with LU projects
• Strong proficiency in electrical design software and tools
• Excellent understanding of LV systems and relevant regulations
• Ability to produce detailed design documentation and drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification

• 6-month contract with an immediate start
• 8 hours per day, with all work conducted during the day
• Outside IR35
• Office based in Stratford with 2 days working from home (WFH)
