Job Description

Richmond Hill Practice, Colne, is seeking a Salaried GPto join our friendly and supportive team for six sessions per week Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays with some on-call commitment.

Main duties of the job

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone, and digital consultations

Manage a clinical caseload including long-term conditions and acute presentations

Undertake appropriate prescribing, referrals, and follow-up

Complete clinical administration efficiently, including results management and correspondence

Participate in practice meetings, clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives

Work collaboratively within the practice and wider PCN team

Contribute to training and supervision where appropriate

About us

We are a well-established Training Practicebased in a modern building at Colne Health Centre, serving a patient list of approximately 12,800 patients, and are rated Good by the CQC.

Our clinical team comprises 6 GP Partners, trainee GPs, 2 ANPs, 1 Triage Nurse, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, and 2 GPAs, all working together in a genuinely collaborative and supportive environment.

We are strongly supported by colleagues within the Pendle East PCN, including GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, and a Health and Wellbeing Team.

Our highly experienced non-clinical teamensures smooth day-to-day operations, enabling all staff to focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

We are a digitally enabled and forward-thinking practice, using online triage systems alongside traditional general practice values to provide safe, efficient, and accessible care for our patients.

Person Specification Experience
  • Proven experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications
  • Vocationally trained and accredited GP.
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Inclusion on a PCSE/ICB performers list.
  • MRCGP or equivalent.

  • Confident and comfortable using IT systems and digital technologies in clinical practice.
  • Strong team player with flexibility, empathy, and a collaborative approach.
