These posts represent an exciting opportunity to work as a Consultant in a vibrant, rapidly developing and supportive service. Full personal mentorship and support is available to develop your career to the highest level. The core clinical components of the posts will be to provide a general adult psychiatry service to a catchment population within a supportive multidisciplinary team structure. As a member of the NHS Lothian service, you will be strongly supported and encouraged to develop additional interests as part of your professional activity, which could include wider medical education, research, leadership and quality improvement activity to the highest level available in Scotland. As a member of the NHS Lothian Adult Psychiatry service, you may be required to provide clinical input across NHS Lothian, although tis would not be expected within the post agreed at appointment. However, opportunities to obtain further experience across the wider Edinburgh and Lothian service are often available and will be encouraged and facilitated according to individual circumstances and developmental needs.
