As Electronic Technician you ll be responsible for building, wiring, and testing electronic and electrical systems. Working in a clean, well-equipped workshop, you ll assemble control systems and sub-assemblies using technical documentation, ensuring all builds meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and being part of a close-knit engineering function.
The role:
- Assemble and wire electronic and electrical systems for control panels and machinery
- Read and interpret circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, and build documentation
- Fit and connect components including PLCs, relays, sensors, terminals, and power units
- Complete cable preparation tasks such as crimping, terminating, routing, and looms
- Perform electrical checks and functional testing to verify system performance
- Support engineers and production colleagues with build queries and fault finding
- Follow all internal quality processes and electrical safety requirements
- Suggest improvements to build methods, layouts, and efficiency where possible
Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in electronic or electrical assembly, panel wiring, or a related technician role
- Confident working from schematics, drawings, and technical instructions
- Solid knowledge of electrical build standards and safe working practices
- Practical experience with hand tools, wiring, and cable management techniques
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently or within a team
