Move on & Resettlement Officer

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Slough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Move on & Resettlement Officer this role will be: SL1 2EJ Hybrid

The right candidate will:

• Support households in temporary accommodation to secure longer-term PRS accommodation.
• Work with households to identify realistic housing options and overcome barriers to move-on.
• Acquire and negotiate accommodation from landlords, letting agents, and accommodation providers.
• Support the Council to discharge homelessness duties in line with legislation.
• Signpost and refer to appropriate support services.
• Manage a caseload and develop clear move-on plans.

We require the following:

• Experience working with vulnerable households.
• Experience providing housing or resettlement support.
• Experience of negotiating, acquiring and securing properties to discharge duty into the Private Rented Sector.
