Are you a qualified Primary or Secondary Teacher with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you looking for a full-time teaching role with the potential to move into a permanent position?

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a Full-Time SEMH Teacher for a supportive school located in the NG13 postcode area. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, starting as soon as possible, giving you the chance to make a real impact while securing a long-term role.

The Role - SEMH Teacher:

  • Full-time teaching role supporting pupils with SEMH needs

  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the social, emotional, and academic needs of the students

  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning strategies for pupils with SEMH challenges

  • Provide a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Work closely with SENCO, support staff, and pastoral teams to monitor progress



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional challenges

  • Calm, resilient, and patient with excellent classroom management skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
