Our client, a leading company in the site investigation industry, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer/Project Manager to join their team. This permanent role involves overseeing the delivery of projects and operational activities. The successful candidate will work across various sectors, contributing their expertise in geology and environmental disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively leading projects, including on-site activities
- Promoting and developing company culture, technical excellence, policies, and procedures
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Designing and delivering staff training programmes
- Maintaining and developing client relationships
- Identifying new business partners
- Writing fee proposals and reports
- Ensuring all H&S, technical, operational, and commercial aims are met
- Planning and managing project resources
- Negotiating project variations and managing changes proactively
- Conducting client meetings and presentations
Job Requirements:
- BSc degree in geology or civil engineering
- MSc in geology or geotechnical discipline
- Experience in the site investigation industry
- Excellent knowledge and awareness of health and safety practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in IT
- Proven success in a senior role
