Belfast City Council is currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV/LGV Driver to join their team at the Duncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast.
This is a full-time temporary position, initially for 3 months, with the potential for extension based on performance.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
- Hourly rate: £14.35
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating council vehicles safely and in line with road traffic legislation.
- Supporting household waste collection services as required
- Loading vehicles and supervising operatives
- Carrying out street cleansing duties
- Completing basic maintenance tasks, including clearing drains and gutters
- Interacting professionally with members of the public and positively representing Belfast City Council
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the city while gaining valuable experience in a busy and varied working environment.
What We Need From You
- Have a full, current Category C driving licence
- Have a valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
- 6 months experience in a similar environment
