Senior Tax Manager - International Wealth and Premier Banking

We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Tax Manager in our International Wealth and Premier Banking division.

You'll work alongside the division's Europe business and UK Retail Bank to support them with the management of their tax risks and reporting obligations.

In this role you'll:
  • Provide advice, review and challenge to the division's European business in relation to Customer Tax Avoidance, Tax compliance and Customer Tax Reporting risks
  • Assist with the effective management and operation of Customer Tax Reporting obligations, including the implementation of Crypto Asset Reporting Framework and any other tax reporting requirements from a second line of defence perspective
  • Support the Asset Management business, which includes their Global Minimum Tax programme
  • Lead the response to DAC 6 / Mandatory Disclosure Regime reporting from a second line of defence perspective
  • Work with the Financial Crime team and the business to assist in mitigation of Tax Evasion risk
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • UK Tax experience relating to customer taxes including tax evasion and tax reporting regimes
  • Client Tax reporting (FATCA, QI, CRS, CARF)
  • Experience in relation to risk management would be beneficial
  • Leadership and line management skills
  • Ability to explain technical tax issues in an easy-to-understand business language and come up with pragmatic and implementable solutions
