Consultant Radiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Consultant team in Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality diagnostic clinical reports, advice, and opinions for patients referred to our service.
- Support rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision making pathways.
- Ensure standards for safe, quality, and performance are consistently met.
- Provide consultant led care, give clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff.
- Uphold highest standards of clinical care for patients undergoing diagnostic and radiology procedures.
- Focus on general and gastrointestinal radiology.
Main duties
- Support the delivery of Radiology services across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
- Assist in developing innovative ways to deliver services.
- Support training activities for Radiology Trainees and Medical students.
- Develop a subspecialty interest that complements the service.
Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practice.
- CCT Specialist Registration or must obtain within 6 months of interview date (CESR).
- Minimum English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent), IELTS or UK Medical School graduate.
- Distinctions, scholarships, prizes.
- Other degrees, e.g. BSc, MSc, MD.
- At least five years in specialist registrar training scheme.
Clinical Experience
- Expert clinical and diagnostic opinion on a range of problems.
- Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
- Prioritise clinical need.
- Supervise multi disciplinary teams.
- Evidence of experience in stated specialist interest.

- Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum (pro rata)
