Job Description
Product Development Manager / Development Chef (NPD) required in London for a development kitchen. This company is a trendy cafe concept operation who has a hot/cold food menu and a sweet menu as well. This role will be mainly focused on the savoury side of the offering (hot and cold breakfast and lunches). The Development chef role will include some international travel as well, the development kitchen in London serves the various sites. If your creating, good with social media, passionate about keeping on trends on social media and creating dishes that will look great on social media, this is the role for you. Development chef, 35-48k (depending on experience and if at a development chef level OR a senior development chef level). When in London, the role is a monday to friday role. The role
As a Development chef you will design, create and cost menu items. This will be for the rotation on the menu, specials for christmas for example and limited specials to follow trends. It is all about how the food looks and taste, it is essential for the dishes to look great. The dishes are designed in the development kitchen and then cooked on site. They do deskill the cooking on site, so the dishes need to be easy to prepare and cook on site. This role will include all the standard Chef development duties. This role will also include some international travel within the company, the main base will be London.
Expeirence
We are looking for either a NPD chef, a Development chef, Head chef or a Sous chef. you will be good at creating dishes that can be recreated in a maximum of 10 steps. You will have knowledge of seasonal products and how to cost a dish. You will also have a eye for detail and a eye for how things look, it is essential that the dishes look great on social media, when designing it is taste & look that is essential. You will be ok using tech and knowledgeable of social media.
