Job Title: Cabin Fitter Team Leader
Location: Wigan (WN2)
Pay Rate: 17.61 p/hr
Hrs : Monday - Friday 07:00-15:30hrs
Contract: Temp - Permanent

Our client provides portable cabins and modular offices for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use to a huge variety of industries, including the construction and education sectors.

As the Fitter Team Leader, you will lead, inspire, guide and support a team of fitters, driving excellence in craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety.

As the Cabin Fitter Team Leader, your duties will be:
  • Inspire and engage operatives, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work requirements and providing guidance when needed, fostering a sense of shared purpose and commitment.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of the role, including actively getting involved in the maintenance and repair of cabins, demonstrating your hands-on expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead the charge in achieving operational efficiency targets, motivating and guiding staff to maximise productivity and optimise processes, making each project a resounding success.
  • Proactively communicate any issues related to staff performance or material shortages to the Production Manager, working collaboratively to overcome challenges and maintain seamless operations.
  • Collaborate closely with tradespeople, offering valuable support and assistance, leveraging your expertise in general maintenance skills and proficient use of power tools.
  • Foster a strong health and safety culture within the team, promoting awareness, compliance, and accountability for maintaining a safe working environment.
