Job Description
The Opportunity
Working as part of a progressive People & OD function, you will:
- Act as a trusted people partner to managers, supporting them to manage and lead their teams effectively
- Coach and challenge leaders on people decisions, capability, wellbeing and risk
- Support and deliver people focused projects and change initiatives, from planning through to implementation
- Analyse people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating insight into action
- Partner with specialist HR teams (Employee Relations, Reward, EDI, L&D) to deliver joined up solutions
- Step up to cover HR Business Partner responsibilities when required, supported by a Senior HRBP
This role offers real development into business partnering, not just the title.
The Successful Applicant Who This Role Is Perfect For
- An HR Advisor with strong exposure to project work, change or complex case management
- A Junior HR Business Partner looking to deepen your partnering experience
- First or sideways move into Assistant HR Business Partner role
- Someone keen to move from advisory work into more strategic, consultative HR
You'll Bring
- Solid experience advising managers within a complex or unionised environment
- Strong project or programme experience (e.g. restructuring, change, policy implementation, cultural initiatives)
- Confidence using people data and insights to inform decisions
- An understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- The credibility and communication skills to influence and build trust with stakeholders
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) and a commitment to professional development
Higher education and training experience isn't essential - transferable experience from other large, regulated or matrix organisations is very welcome.
