The Role
East Staffordshire Borough Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Officer to lead our Disabled Facilities Grants Team. You will help deliver a wide range of adaptations and housing solutions providing technical advice and guidance to make a positive outcome for residents in the Borough.

The RoleYou will have a senior role in the day to day operation of the Housing Adaptations Team, leading and supporting team members to provide a high quality, customer centred service.
You լի will provide technical support and advice on adaptations, surveying, designing and specifying.As well as providing support to other officers, you will have your own workload consisting of more complex works such as extensions and internal alterations. The ability to be creative and solve problems is essential as this skill will be required frequently.
You will work collaboratively and proactively with Housing Adaptations Officers, Occupational Therapists and the Council's approved contractors to ensure that grant applications are determined and administered in a timely manner in line with good practice and statutory requirements.
