PE Teacher

Location: Tameside
Start Date: Immediate start - Easter 2026
Duration: Full-time Monday to Friday 8:30am-3pm until Easter 2026, with potential to extend until the end of the academic year.
Pay: 160 to 220 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Tameside is seeking a qualified PE Teacher to join their team for an immediate start. This is a full-time role teaching Physical Education up to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to continue through to the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PE specialist who is confident delivering engaging, inclusive lessons and promoting positive attitudes towards health, fitness, and wellbeing.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Plan and prepare structured and engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff



Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Experience teaching PE up to KS3 and KS4

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Passion for encouraging participation, confidence, and teamwork
