Job Description

We are working with a leading UK property owner with a multi-billion-pound commercial and mixed-use portfolio, seeking to appoint a Property Director Public Sector Lead to a strategically important leadership role.

This role will lead the organisation s engagement with the public sector across the UK, shaping and delivering property strategies in partnership with central and local government, public bodies and agencies. The successful candidate will play a key role in unlocking long-term value, regeneration outcomes and socio-economic impact across large-scale assets and estates.

The Role As Property Director Public Sector Lead, you will be responsible for developing and managing senior-level public sector relationships and leading complex property strategies that align commercial objectives with public policy outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the senior point of contact for public sector partners, including local authorities, government departments and public agencies
  • Leading negotiations and structuring of complex property arrangements, including development agreements, joint ventures, long leases and regeneration partnerships
  • Shaping and delivering long-term estate and place-based strategies across major assets and portfolios
  • Providing strategic oversight of mixed-use development, regeneration and repositioning projects
  • Working closely with internal investment, development, asset management and ESG teams to ensure joined-up delivery
  • Advising at Board and Executive level on public sector strategy, risk and opportunity
  • Ensuring alignment with ESG, sustainability and social value objectives
About You
  • Extensive senior-level experience in property, estates or development, with significant exposure to the public sector
  • Strong understanding of public sector governance, procurement, policy and funding frameworks
  • Proven track record of leading complex negotiations and long-term partnerships
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance financial performance with public interest outcomes
  • Credible, confident and effective at Board and C-suite level
  • RICS qualified or equivalent professional background preferred
