Key Responsibilities
- Create and transmit purchase orders promptly, ensuring smooth supply chain operations
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate effectively to achieve cost savings and add value to the business
- Research and evaluate new suppliers, balancing cost, quality, and responsiveness
- Drive collaboration with engineering and production to ensure timely supply of materials
- Support supplier meetings and audits, maintaining excellent communication and transparency
- Work closely with stores, production, and inventory control to optimise stock levels and minimise downtime
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Engineering to deliver cost reduction programmes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance KPIs and procurement efficiency
