Barista

Location: Penarth
Hours: Full time. Shifts are 7 am - 3 pm, 9 pm - 5 pm Monday to Friday.
This is a term time only position. No work is required during school holidays.
Contract Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: 12.70 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Manpower is recruiting experienced Barista on behalf of our client to work within busy retail unit. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, preparing high quality beverages and maintaining the smooth day to day running of the retail unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffees and teas.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times.
• Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the caf , including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Restock supplies and assist with deliveries when required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee shop or caf role is essential.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly there may be the occasional requirement to work early or late dependant on business needs
• Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (we can support you with this)
