The location of the role is Newcastle, Manchester OR London (mostly remote - may be required onsite 2 days per week in certain periods).
The duration of the contract is 12 months.
The pay rate on offer is 650 per day (via Umbrella agency).

Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Architect to join our team and lead the design development and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises and cloud-based services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams driving technical excellence and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key accountabilities of the role

• Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions combining on-premises and cloud-based services to meet client requirements and expectations.
• Create architecture diagrams, component models and technology stacks for hybrid environments.
• Provide expertise in managing on-premises infrastructure including virtualization storage and networking.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize and secure on-premises environments.

Key skills and experience

• 5 Years UK Residency Required.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions, combining on-premises and cloud-based services.
• Experience in creating architecture diagrams, component models, and technology stacks for hybrid environments.
• Deep understanding of major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective services.
• Familiarity with cloud-native services, serverless computing, and managed services.
• Experience in designing, managing, and optimizing on-premises infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Knowledge of on-premises automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing secure connectivity solutions (e.g., VPNs, Direct Connect, VPN Gateways"
