Role: Specialist SEMH support staff

Start date: February

Salary: £110 - £120 per day (Dependent on experience)

Length of role: long term role until July 2026

We are an outstanding primary school located in the north London borough of Islington. We have a fantastic reputation within the borough for providing an exceptional quality education for all pupils. We are proud of our ARP, which gives us the opportunity to work closely with children that have the special education needs.

From February we are looking for a long-term specialist SEMH teaching assistant that could work on a 1:1 & 1:2 basis with pupils that are struggling with social emotional and mental health issues.

This is a highly rewarding role, and our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with children with a variety of special needs including SEMH. It would be beneficial if you also have experience of working with children with ASD/ autism.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• SEMH Support Staff
• Supporting a variety of SEN: SEMH, Autism (ASD)
• 1:1 & 1:2
• Attending weekly training sessions
• February Start - Long-term & full time
• £110-£120 per day
• Located in the Borough of Islington

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Degree from a reputable University required
• Must have an outgoing, forward-thinking and creative personality
• You must be willing to learn and get stuck in with multiple roles
• Strong understanding of SEN is required
• Previous SEN experience in either a working or personal level would be desirable, but not essential
