Role
I am working with a highly respected regional law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor / FCILEx to join and support the continued growth of their Corporate and Commercial team.
The team advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including e?commerce, IT, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, professional services, property & development, and retail. Working alongside a collaborative team of three experienced lawyers, you will help clients achieve their business goals while minimising legal risk.
Responsibilities
- Advising on acquisitions, mergers and disposals
- Supporting clients on business start-ups, corporate finance and e?commerce matters
- Drafting and advising on franchise agreements
- Providing guidance on intellectual property matters
- Assisting with management buy?outs (MBOs) and buy?ins (MBIs)
- Handling reorganisations, demergers and corporate restructures
- Advising on employment and recruitment compliance
- Contributing to business development and attending networking events to promote the firm
Firm Offering
The firm offers hybrid working, with additional flexible arrangements available (part-time or term-time working). This role can be based at either the Newcastle city centre office or Stockton-on-Tees, with occasional travel between offices as required.
Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)
- Minimum of 5 years' PQE in corporate and/or commercial law (combined experience preferred but specialist experience will also be considered)
- Strong team player with excellent organisational and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while delegating tasks efficiently
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide proactive client advice
