UK Change Execution is a division of the HSBC UK Chief Operating Office organisation that enables transformational change in HSBC UK, guided by our strategic ambitions and delivered through an agile way of working. UK

Senior Product Owner. This is a leadership role in the UK Change Execution team, directly reporting to the Head of Business Architecture & Design. You will support how we Simplify to Amplify by acting as the UK Product Owner for Microsoft Power Platform driving outcomes and leading a new Centre of Enablement (CoE) supporting the use of Power Platform capabilities across the HBUK Value Stream construct and broader business.

Microsoft Power Platform is a set of low-code tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) for building apps, workflows, AI bots, and data analytics. The Microsoft Power Platform enables apps to be connected together-and to Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure etc-to build end-to-end business solutions.

In this role:
  • Leading Change - deliver fit for purpose strategically aligned changes utilising the platform and driving out the CoE outcomes.
  • Manage the governance, design and approval processes and adherence to the Banks Low Co No Code Strategy for all use cases.
  • Drive adoption of the tooling across the UK estate whilst creating a clear operating model between the central team and the relevant business areas.
  • Coach and upskill others and build out a network of 'citizen developers' and champions across the UK Value Stream construct - helping the UK achieve its Value Stream outcomes and OKRS.
  • Enhance collaboration with CIB and other business lines to establish a way of working with defined roles and responsibilities. Engage with peers and senior management throughout the Business to ensure a comprehensive understanding of change impacts. Foster a collaborative environment with all affected areas to enhance adoption and minimize disruptions for customers and colleagues.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A background in either Retail Banking / Wealth or Commercial Banking is recommended but must have a strong knowledge of the UK market.
  • Extensive experience in working in Transformation or Technology delivery roles, with an understanding of Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Ability to grasp complex business and technology problems and design solutions to address these; understanding of technical design of digital capabilities across the layers of the technology stack.
  • Analytical skills to derive insight from large amounts of imperfect data and information, with an ability to communicate through visualisation and storytelling.
  • Ability to influence a large and diverse set of stakeholders, including at an executive committee level.
  • This is a hybrid role and can be based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds or Chester.
