Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEN, focusing on behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Implement tailored strategies to help pupils engage positively in learning and social activities

  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to deliver consistent support

  • Assist in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all pupils

  • Monitor progress and contribute to individual education and behaviour plans

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in SEN settings

  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent) are desirable
