Schedule: MondayFriday rotating shifts:
Week 1: 6am2pm
Week 2: 2pm10pm
Week 3: 10pm6am
Week 4: 6am2pm (repeat)
We are seeking an experienced Tool Setter to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, and injection moulding processes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring tooling is set correctly, production runs efficiently, and product quality remains consistently high.
Key DutiesTool ChangingSafely hang tools using company lifting equipment while following all SOPs
Input machine parameters to ensure quality and expected cycle times
Set up required ancillary equipment (Conveyor, Granulator, Separator, Sprue Picker, bins, etc.)
Maintain accurate tooling register and ensure tools are stored correctly
Perform basic clean-down and maintenance on mould tools
Escalate tooling repairs or concerns to the Factory Manager
Keep machines supplied with raw materials (including forklift operation)
Maintain tidy, well-stocked masterbatch areas, avoiding contamination
Reduce unnecessary scrap vs. costed BOM
Work with Lead Packing Operative and review production board for workload
Ensure correct production quantities per job sheet
Monitor cycle times and ensure sign-off is completed accurately
Follow startup/shutdown procedures to maintain consistent product quality
Perform basic mechanical fault-finding to stabilise moulding processes
Report equipment issues or material concerns to Factory Manager

5+ years experience as a setter/technician in a busy injection moulding environment
IMT Level 2 qualified
Valid forklift licence
Strong attention to detail and adherence to expected cycle times
