Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Know-how & Information Management
  • Maintain and expand the team's electronic knowledge bank.
  • Review and curate materials submitted by fee-earners.
  • Create and manage categories, keywords, and editorial notes for easy access.
  • Monitor and update know-how to ensure relevance and quality.
  • Source and circulate key legal developments and case law.
  • Act as a sounding board for fee-earners on complex legal queries.
  • Precedents & Drafting
  • Review and update existing precedents and crib sheets.
  • Draft new templates, flowcharts, guidance notes, and client-facing materials.
  • Ensure all resources reflect current legal standards and best practices.
  • Training & Development
  • Design and deliver internal and external training sessions.
  • Support onboarding and development of junior lawyers and trainees.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives across the firm.
  • Business Development & Client Engagement
  • Draft client alerts, updates, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Support responses to public consultations and press articles.
  • Assist with seminars, webinars, and client events.
  • Collaborate with marketing and BD teams to enhance client offerings.
  • General Support
  • Provide research and technical input to fee-earners.
  • Liaise with other teams on cross-practice knowledge initiatives.
  • Contribute to the firm's website and internal communications.
The Successful Applicant

About You

  • Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE in contentious construction law, or prior PSL experience in this area.
  • Strong drafting and legal research skills.
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in legal tech tools and document management systems.
  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable to a varied role.
  • Enthusiastic about knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
