Job Description

Senior People Business Partner - Projects

Location: London

Job Description

The role

This is a senior interim HR Business Partner role, focused on delivering a number of significant, group-wide people projects during a period of organisational change.

Reporting to the Group People Director, you'll operate as a trusted senior partner to executives and business leaders, taking ownership of complex work that needs to move at pace. The role is initially approved for six months, but the scale of the agenda means it is very likely to extend. There is potential for the role to evolve longer term, including into a Head of HR position, though this is not a prerequisite and the role is equally suitable for experienced career interims.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the people workstream for a new HCM / HRIS implementation, including process alignment and data migration across multiple businesses
  • Supporting a major organisation design and business change programme
  • Delivering the group engagement survey and supporting supplier selection for future years
  • Advising on restructuring, role design and workforce change activity
  • Driving greater consistency and simplification across people processes
  • Providing clear updates and insight to senior leaders and, where required, Board forums
  • Deputising for the Group People Director as needed

About you

  • An experienced Senior HRBP or interim HR leader, with a strong delivery track record
  • Comfortable operating in a lean or standalone environment without a large team
  • Experienced in leading complex HR projects (HRIS, OD, engagement, transformation)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including consultation and restructuring
  • Confident working in operational and unionised environments, with exposure to blue-collar or dispersed workforces
  • Pragmatic, credible and calm, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver hands-on work
  • Initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension
  • Salary up to £120,000 (pro-rata) plus benefits
  • London-based, typically 3-4 days per week on site
