Examinations Officer

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage our internal and external examinations.

The post holder will have lead responsibility for all matters relating to awarding body examinations and formal assessments and will ensure that the administration, planning, organisation and conduct of examinations takes place efficiently, smoothly and in accordance with all relevant regulations.

The post is well suited to a highly organised person with a systematic approach to successfully completing a range of tasks. A proven track record in ensuring quality assurance at all levels is essential along with some experience in administrating examinations.

Based on 1517 hours per annum with an average of 37 hours per week, it is anticipated that the post holder will work 32.5 hrs per week for non-examination periods with the remaining hours to be worked during the exam periods. It is also vital that the post holder is available to work during the school holidays on and around the exam results days, which are normally the third and fourth week of August. Salary will be paid at Band H (points 25-28), £31,022 to £33,699 pa pro-rata. Actual salary based on 37 hours per week, 41 weeks is calculated between £28,253 to £30,692 and subject to any continuous service.
