Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Advise on general commercial issues facing the Group including but not limited to commercial contractual matters, corporate matters, IPR, competition marketing, consumer credit, e-commerce, employment and pensions, all having regard to the constraints placed on the Group by its debt covenant package (Common Term Agreement) and licence conditions.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as:
    • Purchasing agreements;
    • IT software licences, support and maintenance agreements;
    • Outsourcing agreements;
    • Intellectual property licence agreements;
    • Non-disclosure agreements;
    • Financial bonds and guarantees;
    • Research and development agreements;
    • Engineering / construction contracts and associated collateral warranties, sub-contracts and bonds;
    • Electricity and renewal power contracts;
  • Assist with regulatory matters and advise and deal with issues regarding the inter-relationship between the Company and members of the Group e.g. competition, freedom of information, data protection, transfer pricing and other areas where special rules apply to this regulated business.
  • Advise on disputes with contractors.
The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with significant PQE in commercial work, gained either in private practice or in industry. Experience of operational contracts and contract drafting and negotiation is essential.
