Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a growing Quality Team, providing dedicated support throughout the UK. Based from Doncaster this role will also include regular travel to site.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Act as the main point of contact for quality issues across multiple project sites.

  • Collaborate with project and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.

  • Deliver engaging quality briefings, communications and promote quality culture through site visits and support.

  • Analyse trends in non-conformance and testing data to identify root causes and improvement areas.

  • Track and analyse costs associated with poor quality and propose cost-reduction strategies.

  • Prepare and maintain project-specific quality documentation (Contract Quality Plans, risk assessments, monthly reports).

  • Review and monitor compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Lead and conduct audits and inspections based on ISO 9001:2015 and internal company standards.

  • Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure understanding and implementation of quality requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail, VRSB, and internal IMS procedures.

  • Represent the quality team at multiple project sites and collaborate with stakeholders to promote a quality-focused culture.

The successful candidate will hold;

  • BTEC/HNC or equivalent in Engineering

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally in the rail or construction sector

  • Qualified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001.

  • Experience working with Integrated Management Systems (IMS).

  • Solid understanding of engineering documentation and quality requirements in project environments.

  • Proficient in quality investigation and root cause analysis methods.

  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Confident communicator, able to influence others and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
