Job Description
Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is currently searching for two skilled MMA Welders to join their team at Hinkley Point C on a 6-month fixed term contract. This opportunity is perfect for professionals with recent experience in the MMA discipline, particularly those with a background in the nuclear, oil & gas industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing high-quality MMA welding on a variety of plate materials
- Fabricating and welding components to strict industry standards
- Ensuring all welding work is in accordance with coded welding specifications
- Collaborating with the team to ensure project milestones are met
- Maintaining safety standards and adhering to health and safety regulations
- Completing weld inspections and quality assurance checks
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience with MMA welding techniques
- Competence in MMA PLATE and general MMA welding
- Background in fabricator/welder roles
- Coded welding qualifications, such as BS EN ISO 9606
- Relevant certifications, including the CCNSG Safety Passport
- One of the following qualifications:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Welding Apprenticeship
- An equivalent apprenticeship in a welding discipline
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in a welding discipline or equivalent
- Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Welding and Engineering Craft Studies
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a welder in a relevant industry
