Teacher of Technology (Catering/Design)

Location: Rochdale

Contract Type: Temp to Perm contract- full time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3pm. Will become permanent for the right Teacher of Technology.

Start Date: Septemeber 2025

Salary: 150 - 200 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a passionate and fully qualified (QTS) Technology Teacher seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Do you have experience in both or either Catering and Design Technology? Our popular and reputable secondary school in Rochdale are looking for a dedicated Teacher of Technology to teach classes from KS3 to KS4. This role is full-time and involves teaching, planning and marking. The school are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the Uk.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective technology lessons in Catering or Design to secondary school students, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
2. Planning and Preparation: Develop well-structured and creative lesson plans, tailored to the needs of the students and aligned with the curriculum.
3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, effectively managing student behavior and fostering a love for Design Technology.
4. Assessment: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the Technology department and school community.
